Andrew Bennett BVSc

Andrew started in the practice as a work experience student in 1985. He genuinely enjoys all aspects of mixed practice. His daily tasks include the full spectrum of veterinary life as well as managing the Practice. He has a special interest in equine reproduction which sees him spending a lot of time at The Mid North Coast Equine Reproduction Centre which he established in 2003.Andrew holds accreditation with Australian Cattle Veterinarians Pregnancy Testing scheme, The Australian Thoroughbred Studbook and Racing NSW.

Andrew’s animals include a mischievous boxer named “Eevie”, A Fox Terrier named "Majimba" and several horses. Amongst his favourite horses are “Kelpsec” who won the 2003 Sawtell Cup, and “Mafia Don” who won the 2008 Kempsey Cup.

Andrew & wife Karen are very proud owners of Macleay Valley Vets, they consider themselves extremely fortunate to be surrounded by such wonderful staff
 

Mitchell Edwards BVSc

Mitchell started in January 2005. He likes all areas of general mixed practice, working with both small and large animals, and has a special interest in opthalmology. He enjoys surfing, windsurfing and water skiing in his spare time. Mitch is known to the staff as "Storm boy", following his desperate, but sadly futile attempts to save a stranded whale at Grassy Head.

Shae Sullivan BVSc

Shae started working here at MVVS in January 09. Shae completed her degree at the University of Sydney. Shae grew up in Coffs Harbour where her family is heavily involved in the thoroughbred racing industry. She carries this interest into her work life, but also enjoys working in all aspects of mixed animal practice.

Outside of work her interests include basketball and surfing. Shae’s life is ruled by her cheeky rescue dog, MacGyver, who is causing havoc and destroying her backyard.

Katherine Sollars BVSc

Katherine or "Kate" as she prefers to be known, started with the Practice in August 2009. She hails from South Hampton, England & has come to Australia after completing her Veterinary Degree at the University of Bristol. Kate enjoyed spending her gap year working on a Thoroughbred stud in Scone and was very keen to come back and spend a few years here working. Kate is a keen all-rounder enjoying working with all species.

Kate is lapping up the sunshine of the mid north coast where she can be found most weekends down at crescent head either sunbaking ,surfing or walking her dogs Donkey and Sky.

Tom Graham BVSc

Tom started with us at the beginning of 2010 after finishing his degree at the University of Sydney in 2009 and has fitted in with our team superbly. Tom is originally from Gundagai in southern NSW where his Dad runs a vet practice and Angus cattle stud, Tom shares his family's love of cattle work but also enjoys working with small animals, horses and exotic pets.

Tom is loving his time in kempsey so far where he has become a regular starting 5/8 for the kempsey cannonballs rugby club, and is also enjoying our beaches where he surfs as often as he can. 

Greg Dale BVSc

Greg is the newest member of our vet team, starting work here at MVVS in August 2010 after finishing his study at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. Greg has a special interest in clinical pathology, medicine and anaesthesia, but enjoys all aspects of mixed animal practice.

Greg and his wife Suz are settling in very well to life in the Macleay. On the weekends they can be found fishing, playing golf, or walking their Vizsla "Zoe" along the local beaches.

Margaret Taylor BVSc

Margaret works 1 day a week at the clinic. She has interests in small animal surgery as well as equine breeding.

Margaret & husband Brian run a Thoroughbred Stud at "Smokey" on the lower Macleay where her thoroughbred stallion "Acecay" stands at Stud. She is heavily involved in Macleay Pony Club.
